Professional History

Stagehand;
The Madison Center for the Arts

September 2021- Present

I currently work at the Madison Center for the Arts in Phoenix. I work for the Madison School District and their events, as well as touring shows that rent out the venue. I assist with the hanging and focusing of lights, the changeover of rigging and soft goods, assembly of scenery, the load in and load out of shows, and the maintenance of the venue during and after shows.

Assistant Stage Manager;
The Very Hungry Caterpillar,
Rockefeller Productions

August 2023-September 2023

In concert with Rockefeller Productions I was given the role of Assistant Stage Manager for Phoenix’s run of the Very Hungry Caterpillar. This position was tasked with the setup of all props in coordination with the director. I developed my own track throughout rehearsals and tech which consisted of around 40 different handoffs and props movements throughout the show as the sole stagehand. I conducted maintenance on props throughout the run which included around 70 individual items all of which needed to be evaluated for damage after every show. I communicated alterations to props placements, and prop movements to the acting team. As well as maintaining the wardrobe for the show every weekend. This production ran for 4 performances a week for 5 weeks. Rehearsals and tech met for 5 days a week for 4 weeks.

Properties Carpenter;
Virginia Theatre Festival

Summer 2022

I produced props for VTFs summer theatre festival. I assisted with pulling props from stock, creating entirely new props from basic materials, and most often altering furniture for mobility. In my spare time between projects I repaired stock furniture items. This included retying springs and reupholstering. I also participated in workshops provided by the company, during which I was introduced to to MIG and TIG welding.

Properties Intern;
Arizona Broadway Theatre

May 2019 - July 2019

I assisted in the summer portion of ABT's season in 2019 with the shows Addams Family and Sister Act. I worked underneath the resident propmaster, Mary Rooney. I assisted with set dressing, crafts, paints, and most often, furniture construction. This opportunity allowed me to use my carpentry and drafting skills to produce furnishings for Sister Act.

Stagecraft Intern;
TheatreWorks (Peoria)

May - August 2017
May - August 2018

I was a part-time volunteer at a local nonprofit theatre. This was early into my knowledge of paints and props. Because of this, I took it upon myself to acquire more knowledge apart from my studies at university. I assisted with scenic construction and scenic painting to produce the youth, and mainstage plays of the summer season.
